dr. j's head-cleaners shrink rap emaill responses

I hope it will eliminate negative self talk after

I have listened to the Performance 2 CD twice in the last three days. I seem to have a general confidence the past two days. After the game I hope there will be no negative self talk.

You mention wanting to avoid negative self talk "after" the game. Performance 2 may help much more during the game and less so after -- though if your performance during the game is optimized enough, there may be no reason for any negative self talk after.

Performance 2 focuses on tuning out self-critiquing so you can be "in the zone" more during a performance but it isn't intended to give you as much long-lasting confidence and cool as some of my other recordings. It isn't a good idea to turn off self-critiquing in a permanent or even almost permanent manner. No self-critiquing means you don't fine tune and learn from mistakes or less than optimal actions.

The other recordings that help with confidence and how you handle challenges -- self to self partnering, to be comfortably confident, healing tree 2, who and how you want to be, relax...relax..., a tool to aid with panic and fear, allowing your self to get past it and nightmares to nice dreams -- work on reminding conscious and unconscious parts of your mind that there are perspectives from which, when you look at yourself and challenges, you feel really cool, really resilient, really confident. Each one does it from a somewhat different perspective and each works on some other things, too, but all focus heavily on positive attitudes and perspectives that result in self-confidence. These recordings target attitudes and let you self critique from a more practical, self-friendly perspective so you feel confident AND you learn from mistakes. They are intended to foster more permanent change with respect to self confidence, negative self talk, etc. They are also are not focused on causing a radical change like performance 2 (which is intended to take the listener from many to zero problems with confidence). The listener listens to one recording two or three times a week for a week or two -- which improves confidence. Then the recordings get put away until it seems like a good idea to work on confidence again. Long held attitudes and perspectives shouldn't be radically changed all at once -- it causes anxiety and weird reactions. Slow and gradual work gets better results.

This is a bit of a sales pitch -- and I do the website and sell them to make money -- but I also really do publish these recordings and make them available because they're cool and helpful and I am "into" being a healer.

Good luck with your game and afterwards.
